PART 1:We have begun shooting somewhat of a "reality show" here at the Maryland Institute of Music. Here is the first clip..The following video was shot at the Maryland Institute of Music during Steve Whiteman's vocal lessons. His student, Zach Miller, has been coming to the institute for a number of months now and is in our performance band "AMNESIA". This is a glimpse in to what is invloved in a vocal lesson, by one of the greats! Steve is the lead singer of the platinum selling band Kix Band. He has been teaching professionally for over 20 years, and has been performing professionally for 40 years. Steve was Lzzy Hale's (from Halestorm) vocal instructor, and she credits his teachings with her stamina and power. Steve teaches at the institute every week and is accepting new students.**This footage was shot and edited by Jamie Lawrence at One Room Media

**Part 3 of our reality series**This episode features our instructor Justin Parks and his student Jessie Stine. Jessie is blind, and decided that she wanted to learn how to play the guitar. While it was a learning curve for Justin, coming up with a plan to teach someone who couldn't see his fingers, they both adapted fairly quickly to putting a lesson plan in to place. She has more drive than most students and with her being blind, it creates an extra obstacle, that she is conquering more and more each week. He came to us as a beginning bass student with no experience and has been working with Jeffrey Lynn Barnhart since day one. Waylon has a strong work ethic and desire to get better. He's grown tremendously since starting. Here he is working a timing drill with a basic blues run. When he first started this drill a few months back he was at 90 beats per minute. Over time he's gotten his speed up to 180 bpm as a personal record. He wanted to capture his attempt of beating that record on video……
